Class 19: Yagna: the science behind how the world works (chapter 3 verses 9 to 10)

This class covers:
  • What is Yagna? An explanation of the word that cannot be defined in English. The definition of Yagna by Shrimad Adi Shakracharya. The psychology behind Yagna: why Yagna is key to achieving piece of mind.
  • A study of the five types of Yagna that are necessary in order to avoid faults in actions: Yagna for Brahmins, Yagna for gods, Yagna for ancestors, Yagna for animals and Yagna for humans.
  • The three parts of a Yagna: dev puja, sangati karnam and daan. The two things that are needed in worship: love and work. When is true love shown? The qualities of a person who is god-like, including fearlessness.
